I was born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey. I graduated from Wayne Valley High School in 2020. My senior year during COVID-19 was tough; I needed to figure out where I wanted to attend college, and I had limited options for getting on campuses to tour. I brought up my struggles to my dad, who has been a Physical Educator for 20+ years. He recommended touring Springfield College, so we drove up and walked around. I fell in love ever since stepping on campus and started my educational journey in the fall of 2020.
As an educator, I want to create an environment where all my students feel welcome and appreciated whenever they walk into my gymnasium. Physical education is a critical subject in school today because it teaches you how to take care of yourself and stay active from a young age. It also allows the students to learn different life skills such as cooperation, problem-solving, and other skills through different units and activities they can take with them throughout their lives. I aim to give the students opportunities to grow and learn while participating in my PE classes.
